NRA releases inspiring pro-Trump ad targeting millennial women [VIDEO]

The National Rifle Association went all in for Donald Trump on Wednesday, releasing a $6.5 million ad buy nationwide focusing on getting millennial women to defend their right to keep and bear arms.

“Kristi’s Story” focuses on 26-year old Kristi McMains, a law school graduate from Indianapolis who defended her life from a man who attempted to stab her to death in a parking garage.

“A man attacked me in a parking garage,” McMains said in the ad. “Tried to stab me with an eight-inch knife but I carry a pistol. I fight back; that’s why I’m still here. Every woman has a right to defend herself with a gun if she chooses, Hillary Clinton disagrees with that.”

She finishes off that ad by saying that Trump supports her right to protect herself.

McMain’s story is important for both the Republican nominee and the NRA. Trump has famously been suffering from weak support among females, especially millennial women, and while support for gun rights is at it’s highest point in decades according to a study by Pew Research, women are far less likely than men to support the Second Amendment.

Helping Trump and promoting gun rights is a win/win combination for the NRA.
