Gary Johnson is a good sport who rolls with the punches in interviews and takes tough questions better than most candidates, even from a comedic dog puppet.
In a new special for Hulu titled “Triumph’s Election Watch 2016,” the infamous, cigar-wielding, foul-mouthed Triump the Insult Comic Dog had a sit down interview with the Libertarian candidate and ribbed on him for being a “conservative who likes to smoke weed.”
Triumph opened up by asking Gov. Johnson, “When you’re about to get on stage at your rallies, how often does your security team ask to see your identification?”
“Never,” Johnson replied, adding that he currently doesn’t have security.
Johnson noted that he could get security detail if he were added to the debate lineup, saying, “There may be, but that’s one of the things that I fear about this whole process. How that might adversely affect my life, the whole secret service thing.”
“So you’re running for president, but you’re terrified of winning. I would keep that quiet,” Triumph joked.
The New Mexico Governor went on to say that he “genuinely” believes he can get elected president without making the first debate, prompting Triumph to ask, “You think [Clinton and Trump] are just going to blow each other up?”
Johnson nodded in agreement, “You think?”
