This cat had a mustache before it was cool.
Meet Hamilton the Hipster Cat, whose handle bar mustache rivals those of both “Anchorman’s” Ron Burgundy and actor Tom Selleck circa 1985. This furry feline isn’t just upstaging other mustaches, however – Hamilton may give the infamous “Grumpy Cat” a run for his money.
He’s already nabbed his own Urban Outfitters t-shirt deal, although he has a long way to go if he’s going to top Grumpy Cat’s newly inked movie deal.
Hamilton has more tricks up his bag than just an awesome mustache. He is also street-smart, and was actually saved from the rugged streets of San Francisco. His owner, comedian Jay Stowe, rescued him from the Humane Society Silicon Valley after instantly falling in love with Hamilton and his mustache.
“I learned early on that I will never be able to compete with Ham’s mustache,” Stowe told the San Francisco Chronicle. “It’s just easier to let him be the debonair one in the house.”
He’s already gained quite a following on social media, with his own Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.
“I started his Instagram because I had never seen a cat with a perfect mustache,” Stowe said.
On his Facebook page, Hamilton boasts that his mustache “is better than any mustache that has ever walked this planet.”
He also has a birthday coming up – so on July 4th, remember that you’re not just celebrating the birth of the United States of America but also the birth of the cat with the perfect ‘stache.
