It’s hard not to love #BabiesforBernie. Parents who show support for Bernie Sanders by dressing their baby up in his likeness have gotten quite the attention on both Twitter and Instagram.
There is even a website, which endorses Sanders for president. “All parents want a better future for their children. Bernie Sanders is going to get us there,” the site says. There is also a catalog, with the site mentioning that proceeds will be given directly to the campaign and/or to spreading the word.
The Huffington Post reported that Ashira Siegel is behind the site and Facebook group, as is Bryan Leggo. Siegel’s son, Nathan, is the one dressed up as Sanders in the image which has gone viral.
Some have used the trend to equate babies with socialism, as Jesse Watters quipped while on Fox News Channel’s Outnumbered.
