This might just be the best mug shot ever, apart from the felon who got a Hollywood agent off of his “hot mug shot.”
A 19-year-old from Pittsfield, Maine, named Robert Burt posed for his jail booking photo wearing a t-shirt with the graphic of his June mug shot, reports The Smoking Gun.
The shirt is adorned with an image of the mug shot Burt posed for on June 14 after authorities caught him driving under the influence and without a license. He was directed to spend two days in jail starting August 8 after pleading to drunk driving, which is when his fashionable new mug shot was taken.
Made by his coworker from the restaurant he works at in his hometown, Burt’s t-shirt features the caption “Burt Family Reunion 8/8-8/10/2014,” eluding to one of the young man’s family members who is also in jail. The garment also proclaims itself “sponsored by Bud Light and Somerset County Sheriff.”
After his 48 hours in custody, Burt wrote on Facebook that the officers asked him to hold the slate “so you could see the shirt” when the mug shot was taken.
“They laughed there asses off,” he added.
The t-shirt actually features another image lower down of a cat with a television remote and a beer bottle, but the graphic is cut out of the mug shot.
Burt described his picture boastfully yet appropriately on Facebook, “Probably the best mug shot ever.”
