Jeb Bush received a major endorsement from South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham on Friday.
Graham announced his support at a press conference in South Carolina after dropping out of the Republican race in December, according to USA Today.
He also took the opportunity to jab Sen. Marco Rubio’s age, saying, “I wasn’t ready to be president at 44.”
Graham’s support has held steady between a low of 0 percent and a high of 1 percent for months. Bush assured the press of his excitement in gaining the coveted endorsement. He took to Twitter to celebrate.

Graham suspended his campaign before Christmas, realizing that “I’ve hit a wall” after the public showed astonishingly little interest in his campaign for months.
“How am I losing to these people?” Graham asked in October on “Morning Joe” when discussing his campaign rivals. Previously, he referred to Jeb Bush as “whiny.”
Voters and journalists nationwide, filled with anticipation, wait with bated breath for the endorsement to push Jeb Bush to the top of the polls.
