Obama is leaving the White House with positive ratings and The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon celebrated his eight years the only way he knew how: by slow jamming his accomplishments alongside the president.
The president gave his usual talking points that his administration saved the economy after the great recession.
“Oh yea,” Fallon jammed in a deep voice. “President Obama stimulated long-term growth in both the public and private sector.”
“He’s created lots of jobs for you and me, and he’s got one more left for Hillary,” Fallon’s backup singer sang.
While entertaining, the seven-minute long schtick became a little too pandering when Obama started talking about how he’s led the country through a progressive change environmentally and socially, and praised the “accomplishments” of Obamacare.
“In short, climate change is real, healthcare is affordable, and love is love,” Obama said.
“Mhm, commander and preach,” Fallon jammed. “You got to listen to my man Barazes. He got a lot accomplished in eight years even when Congress tried to block him, he found a way through the back door.”
Obama shook his head signaling “no.”
“When Republicans handed him lemons, he made so much lemonade that Beyoncé started calling him ‘Barackie with the good hair,” Fallon continued.
