Last week, I took a stroll on the Left side of Twitter, the liberal side of Twitter. I decided to follow Montel Williams. I was a bit shocked to immediately get a response from him, “why, I’m literally curious?”
Let’s stop right here. First, I believe in diversity of thought. I don’t always agree with Montel Williams or those on the Left – but we are all human. There is always some common ground, a common goal of preserving and protecting the wonderful people of this country. I was confused, so I just tweeted back at him and asked him, “Why not?”.
Then, Mr. Williams decided to tweet back again, to my surprise.
Well start with I’m of the view pretty much anyone working for trump is guilty of sedition and various other crimes against the Constitution https://t.co/EssLXlUtBV

The former daytime talk show host said I was guilty of “sedition” and “various other crimes against the Constitution.” Sedition is generally a term reserved for people who want to wage war against the government. They want to subvert the Constitution and government violently. Mr. Williams accused me of something that’s punishable by many years in jail – but enough about him and the tweets.
This is a prime example of what is wrong with politics in this cycle. The election is over. You don’t hear Donald Trump dragging out the old ‘Crooked Hillary’ line or joining in many more ‘Lock Her Up’ chants. It’s time to bury the hatchet and move on – not accuse the other side of hacking, treason, or crimes against the Constitution.
The Left has been accusing everyone from Russia all the way down to youth coordinators of serious crimes and major offenses. This major emerging conspiracy theory that somehow everyone is involved in subverting the government and the laws of the Constitution of the United States is a scary addition to this already volatile election cycle.
The fight is over. There are no more elections to win or lose (at least for the time being). Now is a time to come together and listen to our fellow Americans and try to heal those wounds. Everyone was divided before – we don’t need to continue this cycle of conspiracy, demonization, and polarization in America. It’s time to move on and unite as a nation.
