Ann Romney will unfortunately not be competing on next season’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
Romney, who is apparently a huge fan of the ABC hit, was invited to compete on the show but decided against it after several meetings with producers, a Romney spokesperson reportedly told TMZ.
Just a few weeks after her husband, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, lost the presidential election last November, Ann Romney took her youngest son Craig to a live broadcast of the show. Whether Craig went willingly, we don’t know, but his mom gleefully looked on as former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft defeated Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson in last season’s “All Stars” finale.
Ann Romney was a favorite on the campaign trail and even appeared as a guest host on ‘Good Morning America’ the month before the presidential election, where she interviewed ‘Dancing with the Stars’ participants Drew Lachey and Helio Castroneves.
Sadly, the world will never know if Ann Romney has the moves to win the contest herself.
