Fox News panel rips Hillary Clinton for farm animal comedy routine on ‘The Colbert Report’

The hosts of Fox News’ “The Five” certainly weren’t laughing at Hillary Clinton’s comedy attempt on Stephen Colbert’s show Tuesday night.

During a recent panel during which the Fox contributors discussed Clinton’s poor jokes, host Dana Parino called the former secretary of State’s “Colbert Report” segment a “stale routine,” reports Mediaite.

Host Greg Gutfeld went so far as to label Stephen Colbert a “propagandist.”

“That was manufactured by [‘The Colbert Report’] to increase her popular appeal among that demographic after a number of consecutive, disastrous appearances on TV,” alleged Gutfeld. “So, Colbert went from a provocateur to a propagandist and it’s sad because he’s a funny guy. I want to just erase it from my mind, but it was as spontaneous as a glacier and every bit as tedious.”

Panelist Eric Bolling said simply that Hillary Clinton “ain’t no Bill Clinton,” referring to the former president’s multiple successful appearances on talk shows like the “Arsenio Hall Show.”

Parino contrasted Clinton with President Obama and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, both of whom she said have commendable comedic timing, unlike Hillary.

Host Andrea Tantaros chimed in to suggest that such an unsuccessful appearance can only hurt the potential 2016 presidential candidate.

“I think it hurts you especially after a bad book tour,” said Tantaros. “You do this stuff when you’re on top.”

Tantaros added that Clinton has “never been able to convince people that she’s funny” and blamed the former secretary of State’s staff for failing to warn her that she should wait before making a risky appearance on a comedy show.

Thinking ahead to Colbert’s eventual career as host of “The Late Show,” Bolling argued that the comedian was simply “sucking up” to Clinton in order to grab an interview with her should she become president.

Showcasing her own comedic prowess, Tantaros expressed her disgust at the way the liberal media eats up everything that Clinton does and says.

“She could vomit on the table and the New York Times would say it’s reason for celebration,” exclaimed Tantaros at the end of the segment.
