In the premier of its 40th season, “Saturday Night Live” took comedic aim at the National Football League’s domestic violence scandal.

Specifically, the show featured a segment spoofing CBS coverage of NFL games that features player introductions. However, in SNL’s version of player introductions, the football stars name their crimes.

Of course, one of the teams playing in the SNL game was the Baltimore Ravens, who recently were thrust into the spotlight because of the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal.

The players on SNL’s fake Ravens offense are responsible for a whole host of crimes, including manslaughter, assault, sexual assault, “loitering with an intent to murder,” treason, involuntary prostitution, punching a mailman, and tax fraud.

The players on defense of SNL’s challenging team, the Carolina Panthers, also have records. Their crimes include burning a strip club to the ground, being a member of the American Taliban, and loving cocaine. One player even admitted he “sent a picture of [his] ding dong to Michelle Obama.”

At the end of the introductions, the hosts announced that the halftime show would feature a performance by Chris Brown, who infamously was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

CBS Sports actually pulled Rihanna’s song “Run this Town” from its “Thursday Night Football” program after complaints following the eruption of the Ray Rice scandal.
