‘Batkid Begins’ trailer is released and you will need a tissue on hand to watch it

Make sure to have Kleenex on hand before watching this trailer for “Batkid Begins.”

Last November, as part of his “Make a Wish” dream to be batman for a day, Miles Scott, aka Batkid, saved Gotham City and inspired millions around the globe.  Now award-winning filmmaker Dana Nachman is capturing the superhero magic of that day in a documentary featuring the 5 yr. old leukemia survivor, his family, and the many people who made his wish come true.

Nachman is hoping to raise $100,000 to produce “Batman Begins,” which will feature aerial shots of San Francisco-turned-Gotham City, special effects, and animation.  As of Tuesday, about half of the target amount has been raised.

According to its Indiegogo fundraising page, the documentary “will leave the audiences to decide; did Miles need the world for inspiration? Or did the world need Miles?” Judging by the hope and goodwill this mini superhero continues to elicit, we’re guessing it’s the latter.
