Donald Trump’s greatest political asset isn’t his policies, his biography, or his fortune — it’s his daughter Ivanka. She’s smart, savvy, coherent, beautiful, polished — and might be the only person that the Republican front-runner listens to for advice. Liberals are terrified of the way she legitimizes her father and want Ivanka to “Dump Trump.”
Jessica Winters of Slate wrote an article on Monday asking why Ivanka, who is “gracious, capable, and not crazy,” would support her father.
The Slate writer detailed how Ivanka emerged from both her parents high-profile divorce and Celebrity Apprentice as a “decent, thoughtful, level-headed, and hard-working” person. The heiress has been praised by everyone from The New Yorker to documentary filmmaker Jamie Johnson.
But among the compliments, Winters says that Ivanka’s loyalty and affection to her father is a giant flaw.
The heiress and businesswoman has had many opportunities to disassociate with the Trump brand, but has decided to stay by her father’s side, even during his presidential run.
In fact, she doubled down during the campaign, trying to polish the Republican front-runner. She tried to walk back his original comments about Mexican rapists, and told him to “act presidential” before the last GOP debate.

Understanding that if Donald ever took Ivanka’s advice, it would certainly calm many concerns about his candidacy. Winters attacks the unconditional love and support a daughter has for her father, claiming she should use him for his monetary resources and publicly lambast his policies like Ron Reagan, Susan Eisenhower, Christopher Buckley, or CC Goldwater.
