Trump’s website hacked by Jon Stewart devotees

Donald Trump’s corporate website was hacked by some well-meaning internet vigilantes who meant no harm to the GOP candidate –they just wanted to thank Jon Stewart for his comedic career.

“We are writing you today via Mr. Trump’s website because, seeming, the only way to get anyone to pay attention any more is to grease a Presidential candidate’s website,” said the Robin Hood hackers, via a now-archived page of Trump.com from Politico.

“Mr. Stewart, we at @Telecomix Canada would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the many happy years of quality journalism and entertainment you and your team have undertaken at Comedy Central,” stated the hackers. Nobly adding, “Know, Sir, that your steadfast dedication to the irony and power of Truth has inspired a generation which we ourselves now serve.”

Stewart will host his final episode of “The Daily Show” Thursday night after a sixteen-year run.

CBC News first reported the hacking, revealing that the letter to Stewart was live on Trump.com from Saturday until Monday afternoon.

The self-proclaimed “hactivists” at TelecomixCanada said “sorry, not sorry.” They maintained their innocent motives in a press release, citing that no harm was done, no “further action was taken against the server,” and that no Trump-hairpieces were harmed in the making of this tribute to Stewart.

Though the release did end with a warning to Trump, should he become president:

“If it is the people’s decision to elevate Mr. Trump to the Presidency, as it was here in Canada for Mr Harper, we wish him well and hope that he will be mindful this cautionary experience going forward.”
