This can only be described as an act of the Grinch.
Cousin Eddie’s RV from the 1989 film “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” was vandalized last month at a Christmas-themed Ohio museum, according to the Northeast Ohio Media Group.
Mark and Dana Klaus, who own the museum Castle Noel in Medina, Ohio, reported the damage to the famous camper on the morning of September 25.
The vandal or vandals removed a ladder from the back of the vehicle, broke a taillight and an antenna, and took a panel off of the side of the RV. Police are engaged in an ongoing investigation to capture those responsible.
“It’s just a shame that in this day and age, something like this could happen,” Dana Klaus said of the incident.
The RV from the 1989 film was formerly located in a prop shop in Los Angeles, from which the museum acquired it. Other famous Christmas memorabilia at the museum include Will Ferrell’s costume from “Elf” and a life-size replica of Jim Carrey in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
As we wish Cousin Eddie’s RV a swift recovery, here’s something to remember it by:
