‘The Bachelor’ preparing for Colorado State House run

Republicans hold a slim minority in the Colorado State House, just two seats separate them from the majority and they may have found their new star recruit for the 2016 election to help them get there.

The Daily Mail reported that Ben Higgins who starred on The Bachelor has launched a website a campaign website seeking out supporters in Colorado’s House of Representatives district four.

The millennial software developer and reality star said in an interview with the Colorado Independent that he’s not a natural politician — but is he’s open to the challenge.

“Whatever lies ahead, love, grace, and hope are ideals that guide my life,” Higgins said. “I will take them with me into my next adventure.”

If Higgins goes forward with the campaign, he’ll be challenging Democratic Speaker Pro Tempore Dan Pabon who was just involved in a scandal over a drunk driving arrest on St. Patrick’s Day.

Republicans are hopeful for Higgins chances, so much so that the current GOP nominee offered to step aside to let the reality star run in his place.

Higgins apparently has been making moves and meeting with Republican power brokers. This may be the year that America and Colorado both elect reality stars to public office.
