Stephen Colbert blames Obama for gov’t shutdown in ‘Breaking Bad’ spoof

Democrats and the mainstream media are trying to pin the government shutdown on Republicans, but even comedian Stephen Colbert knows President Barack Obama is really to blame.

During Monday night’s episode of The Colbert Report, the host did a spoof of hit AMC show Breaking Bad, which was created by Colbert’s guest for the evening, Vince Gilligan. But the federal government version, Breaking Gov, was “created by Barack Obama.”

“Folks, I am dying to know what goes down tonight,” Colbert said just minutes before the shutdown.

The host then listed the characters in Breaking Gov, displaying their images on the screen.

“I mean, what’s going to happen to Mr. White [Mitch McConnell], Mr. White [Harry Reid], Mr. White [Eric Cantor] Mr. Off-White [Ted Cruz] and Pinkman [John Boehner]? Well, Orangeman.”

Just minutes after Colbert’s show ended, the federal government did, in fact, shut down as Republicans and Democrats were unable to reach a compromise and pass a budget.
