During the lengthy discussion on immigration, Ted Cruz was invited to share his views. He started off by mentioning that he likes how Donald Trump has “forced” the mainstream media to discuss illegal immigration.

Cruz noted how the various candidates have “stark differences” when it comes to immigration. With amnesty though, Cruz claims he has never supported amnesty, and that he has “led the fight” to stop amnesty.

Marco Rubio was also given a chance to respond, since Cruz may have been addressing an immigration bill he had been part of, though Cruz did not mention him by name.

Rubio admitted that he “learned that” there are three problems with immigration “which cannot be dealt with in one massive piece of legislation.”
