A former presidential candidate is feeling “sad and lonely.”
In a Facebook post Monday, 36-year-old Austin Petersen said he’s feeling “pretty horrible today, but I guess the flu’s going around. Hope to feel better before all these events start.”
But the sadness seems to involve more than just a virus. Petersen suggested living alone as a likely cause.
“I feel miserable,” he commented. “Living alone [sic.] at least I don’t give it to anyone else but I also feel sad and lonely. :(“
Petersen lost to former governor Gary Johnson in the Libertarian presidential primaries last year. He told Red Alert Politics he is considering running for state senate in Missouri in 2018 and possibly even for president in 2020.
