Hillary Clinton launches new website … sort of

Fans of Hillary Clinton do not have to mourn any longer that their fearless former leader Secretary of State is not in their daily lives anymore.

Everyone can just visit HillaryClintonOffice.com, but they shouldn’t get their hopes up. There’s not a whole lot to the new website.

On the homepage, there’s a seemingly-photoshopped picture of the former First Lady, sans glasses, gazing proudly into the distance and one button that says “Contact.” Once clicked, the visitor may fill out a generic information form.

The boring nature of the new website might cause Americans to wonder why Clinton even bothered to create the in the first place. Some are speculating that Clinton wants to create intrigue for her 2016 run for President next career move. Clinton’s 2008 campaign website, HillaryClinton.com, doesn’t provide any additional information, but instead directs visitors to the new Office website.

If she is to be believed, then Clinton’s post-Secretary of State career track will not be a run for President in 2016; however, some of her recent interviews leave that open to interpretation.

“I have absolutely no plans to run,” she told CNN on January 30.

“I don’t think, you know, either [President Obama] or I can make predictions about what’s going to happen tomorrow or the next year,” Clinton said on “60 Minutes” on January 27.

Additionally, during her final one-on-one interview as Secretary of State, Clinton said the Benghazi tragedy would not affect her plans if she were to run for President in 2016.

During the 59th and final town hall, touted as a “townterview,” she joked that she’s looking forward to catching up on 20 years of lost sleep. She was not clear on how long that will actually take.

The website was created through GoDaddy.com and launched Jan. 31, one day prior to her last day in office.
