A confrontation at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium turned violent last weekend, when a white-haired man kicked an ASU football fan in the face — and it was all caught on camera.
The altercation took place in the upper level of the student section near the end of the first quarter of Saturday’s ASU and University of Arizona rivalry game, according to a local Fox News affiliate. An older man and a few young fans exchanged words until things suddenly got physical.
A second video shows several people struggling with both individuals as bystanders — including a young woman — attempt to land punches on both the kicker and the attacked ASU fan.
The man who filmed the incident, Michael Williams, told the Fox News station that he thought the old man was drunk.
“He was stumbling,” Williams said. “He was obviously very heavily under the influence of alcohol. And then the next thing you know, he’s kicking the ASU fan in the face, and then after that it broke into total chaos.”
The man who kicked the ASU fan was thrown out by security, Williams said.
