On a Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment last night, kids were asked about the recent Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage.
“One of the most common arguments you hear is ‘How do I explain this to my kids?’…You wonder if children are sophisticated enough to wrap their head around something like this,” said Kimmel.
Wonder no more.
The children stopped on the street were asked a range of questions to unveil their knowledge on the controversial topic, like “Can you tell me what gay marriage is?” “Why would anyone want to get married?” “Do you know what makes somebody gay?”
The innocent answers from the children range from hilarious to downright insightful.
