Newark Mayor Cory Booker will be holding court with Manhattan’s elite next week, with Ivanka Trump planning a fundraising fete for the U.S. Senate candidate, POLITICO reports.
Trump–daughter of Republican mogul and “Apprentice” host Donald Trump–will throw a party Wednesday at her Park Avenue home, with a suggested donation of $5,200. So far, she and her husband Jared Kushner have bundled $41,000 for Booker’s bid to replace the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J).
Booker has gotten help from other notable names, including “House of Cards” actress Kate Mara, who appeared with him at a D.C. fundraiser in April. So far, according to POLITICO, he’s raised $6.5 million.
