Michele Bachmann: Clintons ‘use poor people as human shields for their pompous lifestyle’

Oh, snap.

Former Minnesota congresswoman and star of the forthcoming “Sharknado 3” Michele Bachmann slammed Hillary and Bill Clinton during an appearance on NewsmaxTV Tuesday, accusing the pair of using their charity to support their “pompous lifestyle.”

Bachmann was specifically responding to Bill Clinton’s claim during a recent NBC interview that reports about the Clinton Foundation’s suspect foreign donations are merely a result of the “very deliberate attempt” by the rightwing to take down the charity.

“This is the most transparent family in the United States, right?” Bachmann laughed sarcastically before labeling the Clinton Foundation “an international money-laundering ring to benefit the Clintons personally.”

“Remember, this is tax-exempt, so it is the easiest way to get big dollars in the Clinton world where they literally fly around the world on private jets,” she told host Steve Malzberg of the charity. “It’s the really heavy lifestyle to be used to as a President of the United States, flying around on Air Force One. They really don’t like to give up that lifestyle.”

“What’s the best way to continue that lifestyle?” Bachmann added. “Start an international foundation and get people to give you big money.  But they use poor people as human shields for their pompous lifestyle.”

Not even a shark-filled tornado could so effectively throw the Clintons for a loop.

Watch the segment below, the choice interview with Bachmann coming at about 4:30.
