Mark Cuban: Net neutrality will ‘f— everything up’

Mark Cuban is back with some more expletive-laden condemnations of net neutrality.

Net neutrality will “f— everything up,” the billionaire told attendees at the Code/Media tech conference on Wednesday, according to Re/Code.

Referring to the FCC’s proposal to begin regulating the internet as a utility, Cuban said, “Having them overseeing the Internet scares the s–t out of me.”

“Net neutrality is just a demonization of big companies,” he said.

The FCC’s proposed new rules would ban internet providers from discriminating between content, or setting up “fast lanes.” Cuban suggested that any problems in situations of “blocking” or “throttling,” like a recent row between Netflix and Comcast, should be worked out between the companies involved, “just like happens in business every day.”

This is not the first f-bomb Cuban has dropped in reference to net neutrality. Last year, he declared, “In my adult life i have never seen a situation that paralleled what I read in Ayn Rand’s books until now with Net Neutrality.”

The FCC is expected to vote on the rules next week.
