Jimmy Kimmel unveils ‘Mean Tweets: NBA Edition’

Hate mail is a thing of the past. Twitter is where the rage goes now.

Jimmy Kimmel, host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” is known for his infamous segment called “mean tweets.” In honor of the NBA playoffs, last night’s segment was a special “NBA edition.”

Per usual, the subjects — this time NBA players and commentators — read aloud derogatory tweets directed at them. The fans (or lack there of) didn’t go light on them.

A few highlights from the segment include:

Paul George took flak for his name as one tweet read “I would kill my parents if they named me Paul George…that’s ugly a** name.” George responded with a one-finger salute.

Former player Jalen Rose took some heat for his new job as a commentator. His tweet read, “Jalen Rose you’re not very good at your new job. Your command of language is poor.”

“Jermy Lin need git the weight room,” read aloud Jeremy Lin. The Harvard-educated player said this particular tweeter needs “to git the spell check.”
