Chelsea Handler: The Kardashians helped elect Trump

First, it was Amy Schumer, then Lena Dunham, now liberals are devouring the Kardashians.

In a new interview with Variety, liberal comedian and Netflix host Chelsea Handler described how devastated she was by the election results to the point where she no longer felt she could go on with doing comedy.

“I’m not going to be funny on the day after the election, when I was horrified and crying all night,” Handler said. “It was going to be a celebratory day. I walked into my office that morning, and I thought, ‘There’s no way I’m going to be able to do this.'”

Handler broke down during an interview with retiring Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA).

The “Chelsea” host then went on to blame the media for giving Trump too much attention and explained that the Kardashians created this culture where everything is a reality show.

“Stop covering [Trump] so much.” Handler complained, saying the media unfairly covered Hillary Clinton. “They were treating him as an entertainer first. It was a reality show. We’ve turned into a reality show. I blame the Kardashians, personally; the beginning of the end was the Kardashians. The way these people have blown up and don’t go away — it’s surreal. Everyone is for sale.”

When it was brought up that Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, met with President-elect Trump, Handler immediately dismissed the rapper as psychotic, saying, “Kanye needs to get on his meds.”

So, instead of acknowledging that Hillary Clinton was a failed candidate dogged by scandals she created or the slow economic recovery, Handler believes that a reality star TV family is singlehandedly responsible for electing Trump. Classic liberal logic.
