Jimmy Fallon’s impersonation of Trump’s RNC speech [VIDEO]

On Tuesday night during The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon mocked Republican nominee Donald Trump after his speech at the Republican National Convention.

Fallon’s scarily accurate impersonation began with a flashy entrance in true Trump fashion — dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal.”

The skit was a play off Trump’s so-called “unconventional” speech at the RNC introducing his wife, Melania.

“I know I wasn’t supposed to be on stage tonight, but our keynote speaker Alf canceled last minute,” Fallon said in his best attempt at Trump’s voice. “Did you see Melania? She stole the show. Literally.”

Fallon placed a comedic twist on the accusations made regarding Melania’s speech as critics argued her speech at the convention was plagiarized, paralleling many of the words in Michelle Obama’s speech in 2012.

“I mean, she delivered her speech like a real first lady,” Fallon (as Trump) added. “That first lady being Michelle Obama, but still.”

Before concluding the montage, Fallon referenced Trump’s decision to choose Indiana Governor Mike Pence over Chris Christie as his vice presidential candidate.

“I know he’s mad I didn’t choose him as my running mate, but hey, that’s just how the cookie crumbles,” Fallon said.

A cardboard cut-out of Christie then entered the stage, and Fallon gave his sincerest attempt at sympathy. “It’s just a figure of speech,” he said, turning to the cut-out of Christie.
