Yes, Sean Hannity did spend several episodes of his Fox News show ‘investigating’ the horrors that are students on spring break. And yes, comedian Jon Stewart did tear down Hannity’s coverage piece-by-piece in a hilariously epic segment on Wednesday night.
“You will believe what they found, because you know,” Stewart said, poking fun at Hannity’s ‘exposé’ of what isn’t exactly a secret.
Hannity spent part of five episodes discussing his ‘investigation’ of spring break trips, bringing in a panel of experts and even going so far as to have them demonstrate common spring break drinking practices. And while the host’s coverage was likely well-meaning, Stewart pointed out its massive flaws — such as many of the panelists chastising parents for not parenting their kids, while also admitting their own parents had let them go on such crazy trips.
“So what kind of sh** parents let their kids go to spring break?” Stewart asked. “Oh right, your sh** parents.”
And the weirdest advice from Hannity’s coverage, as Stewart pointed out? Don’t trust the cocaine being sold in the popular spring break locations.
