Congressman and his AR-15 go viral

While members of Congress clamor to pass gun control, one member is standing by the Second Amendment by showing off his AR-15. A photo of Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) with his weapon went viral over the weekend.

The post has almost 1,000 comments, almost 4,000 shares, and 12,000 reactions, most of them positive. Massie also replied to comments on his post. He called the AR-15 “ergonomic, reliable, lightweight, and accurate,” and he likes the AR-10 too.

When one user said that “No civilian has a right to keep and bear arms that are designed only for killing people efficiently. The Second Amendments says “well-regulated” — get out your magnifying glass if you have trouble reading that,” Massie replied that “The second amendment is not about duck hunting.”

Massie also advocated for responsible gun owners with the same image on Twitter.
