Nancy Pelosi: GOP will attack Hillary ‘whether it’s her emails or it’s her hair’

That’s right. Bring Hillary Clinton’s signature scrunchies into a serious discussion about transparency in public office.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) did just that while defending her favorite potential presidential candidate Wednesday.

Clinton has recently come under fire when it was discovered that she used only a personal email account run through a home server to conduct official business while serving as Secretary of State. This revelation has reinvigorated the Benghazi investigation and House Speaker John Boehner called this week for a third-party investigator to look through the server.

“I have a concern — I have a concern that this isn’t really about emails. It’s about a partisan investigation by a select committee that has spent millions of dollars [and] produced nothing,” Pelosi told reporters, according to the Hill.

“And I think we’re going to just see the ongoing attempt to investigate Hillary Clinton, whatever the subject, whether it’s her emails or it’s her hair or whatever it happens to be.”

Pelosi said it’s “a mistake” for the Benghazi committee “to continue a political investigation.”

“It seems to me a big waste of taxpayer money,” she said.
