Marco Rubio: The Left will never admit that science says life begins at conception

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) exposed what he believes is hypocrisy from the Left when it comes to flaunting scientific proof of climate change, and noted how his political opponents fail to recognize that life begins at conception, despite scientific evidence proving it.

During an interview on Sean Hannity’s radio show Wednesday afternoon, Rubio attempted to silence critics labeling him as a climate-change denier by reciting a scientific fact Democrats rarely care to admit.

“Let me give you a bit of settled science that they’ll never admit to,” the Florida Republican said. “Science is settled, it’s not even a consensus, it is a unanimity, that human life begins at conception. So I hope the next time that someone wags their finger about science, they’ll ask one of these leaders on the Left, ‘Do you agree with the consensus of scientists that say that human life behind at conception?'”

Rubio, who came under fire for comments Sunday in which he said cap-and-trade legislation won’t help the environment, criticized Democrats for being hypocritical about which scientific facts they wish to accept.

“That’s not even a debatable thing,” the Tea Party darling said of life beginning at conception. “We can actually see that happening. I mean that is a proven fact. And that’s a scientific consensus they conveniently chose to ignore.”

In his discussion of climate change with Hannity, Rubio said that while he agrees that the climate is changing, he doesn’t think science proves human intervention will change it back.

“You’ll have a tornado somewhere or a drought, and you’ll have the president or his supporters show up and say, ‘This is happening because of climate change,’ as if to imply that if we eviscerate our economy by imposing cap-and-trade, these things will stop happening,” Rubio said. “That’s ridiculous.”
