Although many Senate Democrats have promised that their gun bill is neither anti-gun nor anti-Second Amendment, it seems that the bill’s author, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), doesn’t seem to feel that way.
“On the anti-gun legislation before the senate, we’re making good progress in the effort to schedule a series of votes on amendments to the anti-gun violence legislation before the Senate,” Reid said during a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday.
Obviously dismayed by Reid’s comments, Texas Republican Ted Cruz posted video of Reid’s speech on his official Twitter account, calling it a “Freudian slip.”

While the Nevada Democrat claims he is a “strong defender” of the Second Amendment, perhaps he should brush up on the Bill of Rights if he thinks his “anti-gun legislation” is constitutional.
