The CNN debate once again had Ted Cruz responding to John Kasich. This time it had to do with a government shutdown over Planned Parenthood.
Cruz made an emotional appeal to the American people as he called on them to watch the videos showing Planned Parenthood employees illegally profiting off the sale of fetal parts.
He said Planned Parenthood was acting “callously.” He called on the American people to “ask yourself, ‘are these my values?'”
About a shutdown though, Cruz criticized “preemptively surrendering to Barack Obama.” The president has threatened to veto such legislation defunding Planned Parenthood. Cruz then made a declaration to “stop surrendering and start standing for principles!”
