What do Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper and Chris Cuomo think about Ron Burgundy? The three CNN anchors dish about the real story behind the famous TV personality in a new video.
In the spoof, created by Funny or Die, the trio share ‘actual’ stories about Burgundy as a promotion for the upcoming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues film. And it seems that in their time working with Burgundy, the three anchors have developed a rather negative view of him — at least off-camera, that is.
“On camera, he’s the best,” Cuomo says. “But off camera, he’s a bit of an a**hole.”
Blitzer explains that he lost out on a job because Burgundy’s mustache was better.
“I love my beard, but I would trade for Burgundy’s mustache in a heartbeat,” he added.
It seems that during his career, Burgundy has been stealing awards from other news anchors — literally — and making his own news. Not to mention, he’s been making life hellish for interns. Plus, it seems that he actually attempted to poison Blitzer, whom he refers to as Wolf ‘Blister.’
“Where do you even buy poison?” Blitzer asks. “Real actual poison.”
