Pro-amnesty senator says Trump should run as a Democrat

The establishment Republicans are getting desperate to get rid of frontrunner Donald Trump and replace him with one of their own.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), hoping to be one of the “mainstream Republicans” to replace Trump, slammed the billionaire for his tax plan claiming he has no place in the GOP.

“If someone wants to raise taxes, they should run as a Democrat,” Rubio told The Boston Herald.

“I think if someone wants to raise taxes, they should run for the Democratic nomination,” the Florida senator added. “That party loves to raise taxes. I want to keep taxes low.”

Rubio’s attack was in response to Trump’s announcement that he would raise certain taxes on high-level individuals, like hedge fund managers. Trump said he would use the tax increase to decrease taxes on middle-class families and corporations eyeing headquarters overseas.

The Florida senator, who’s polling more than 20 percent behind Trump in the GOP primary, said he opposes any tax increases, regardless of occupation or income level.

“I don’t know what problem that solves,” Rubio said of Trump’s plan. “That seems to me like a solution in search of problem.

“I think we need to have the lowest tax burden nation of the industrialized countries,” he continued. “That means we need to lower our corporate tax rate, lower our personal tax rate, simplify the tax code … and have a pro-family tax code that increases the child tax credit.”

Rubio has a history of supporting more conservative ideas, like a pathway to citizenship for tens of millions of illegal immigrants and bringing in 33 million legal immigrants every decade to compete with low-skilled Americans and vote overwhelmingly for the Democrat Party.
