As reported by Politico, anonymous sources at MSNBC have confirmed that conservative columnist S.E. Cupp will serve as a co-host on a new show that will air at 3pm beginning June 25. The program will feature a rotating group of hosts drawn from the network’s collection of contributors.
Salon political writer Steve Kornacki has also been chosen to co-host, and sources say that cultural critic and liberal commentator Touré, former congressional candidate Democrat Krystal Ball, and Ezra Klein from The Washington Post are all potential co-host choices.
As Martin Bashir’s program moves to the 4pm slot previously occupied by Dylan Ratigan’s show, the 3pm slot will open up for the new show. Dylan Ratigan is leaving MSNBC “to pursue new opportunities,” and the final episode of his show will air June 22.
When asked about the reports, an MSNBC spokesperson declined to comment, neither confirming nor denying the reports.
If this show continues with the rotating hosts, Cupp serves as an important voice for conservatives. MSNBC has a history of liberal bias and Cupp’s voice would stand out among the masses as someone who represents conservative Americans.
