Those who have ever wanted John Boehner to appear in their selfie now have their chance. Snapchat users in the Washington, D.C. area can now commemorate the Speaker’s announced resignation with a special filter.
The filter does bear a likeness to Boehner. Surprisingly, however, he is not crying. Rather, Boehner is shown golfing as an image reads “Boehner Bids Farewell.”
Perhaps while on his next golf outing, Snapchat’s Boehner can work on his other trademark, his glowing tan.
Snapchat users can for now get a fun and humorous take on Boehner’s resignation. It will be an interesting road to see which Republican House members seek leadership positions and actually come to power.
Boehner has not yet named a successor. The current House Majority Leader, however, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is expected to take on the role.
