Donald Trump Jr. flirts with political run

For people supporting the “America First” policy, many people thought that Donald Trump was their last hope, but their son has been indicating that there is another.

The New York Post reported on Wednesday night that Donald Trump Jr. might be considering a run for higher office, possibly to become governor of New York.

During a discussion with members of the F6 Labs gun club in the Long Island town of Hicksville, Donald Jr. signaled that he might be following in his father’s footsteps and running for political office. He told attendees that he wasn’t interested in running for Mayor of New York City or a legislative position like Senator or Representative in the House.

“Do I want to be behind the scenes and be a mouthpiece and fight back against crazy liberal media? Maybe.” Don Jr. allegedly said before noting that he missed the campaign trail. “Going back to doing deals is boring after 18 months. The politics bug bit me.”

While it’s presumed that Donald Jr. was talking about running against Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2018, he could also pose a run in nearby states like New Jersey or Connecticut which are slightly more friendly to Republicans.

Donald Jr. is much more of a traditional conservative than either his sister Ivanka or even his father which was evident during his speech at the Republican National Convention.

A source close said to The Post that Donald Jr. isn’t making any plans soon though, “(He) is totally focused on running the Trump Organization with his brother.”
