Leftists ablaze on Twitter accusing Bush of planning 9/11

Twitter has been ablaze today with wild accusations from the left accusing President Bush of being behind 9/11.

The comments come as the New York Times runs an unsubstantiated op-ed claiming the former President knew about the attacks beforehand yet did nothing.

A 2007 Zogby poll found that 42 percent of Democrats thought that Bush either planned the attacks or let 9/11 happen.

According to Twitchy poster @DjSoulchild wrote: “R.I.P. to all the victims of 9/11. I don’t think i’ve ever been that shocked since. And YES, i am convinced that Bush was behind it all.”

“RIP 9/11 Victims that died by the hands of George W. Bush,” tweeted. Only Ibz’.

And others speculate that 9/11 was not a terrorist attack, but rather an excuse to go to war.

“9/11 wasn’t a terrorist attack. it was a planned attack by Bush so he could have a reason to start war,” poster FREE_VINCENT! Opines.

Similarly appeals to debunked theories such as the one that the Twin Towers were intentionally demolished were similarly on display.

Aman Gill tweeted: “9 11 was an inside job ran by Bush. No building can ever fall straight down like that #illuminati.”

Other theories include that bin Laden was innocent.

“’@KCurll: Bush bombed the towers. Bin Laden was innocent! True’,” Cheddar Chasin tweeted.

Yet others blamed the GOP for the 9/11 attacks.

“Joe u f**king moron. If anything today reminds everyone how incompetent Bush/Cheney were. The GOP is solely responsible for 9/11,” Elisa Menneci tweeted.
