Mitt Romney has canceled his upcoming appearance on “The View” due to a scheduling conflict, but Ann Romney will still appear on the show Thursday.
“Gov. Romney was supposed to be on with us this Thursday with Ann Romney,” co-host Barbara Walters announced on the show Monday, according to CNN.

“We were looking forward to it. Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems and would not be coming on with us. Nor at this point did he feel that he could reschedule. We are happy to have Mrs. Romney on with us. We are sorry that we won’t have Gov. Romney.”
Earlier this year, Mitt Romney called appearing on “The View” very “high-risk, because, of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative.”
Romney last appeared on the show in March 2010, but agreed to guest on the show again with his wife shortly after his comments, made at a private fundraiser, were released last month in a secretly-filmed video.
“If you can’t handle four sharp-tongued women, how are you going to handle the country?” co-host Sherri Shepherd asked on an episode of the show that aired shortly after the video’s release.
