McDonalds sent New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg a very clear message over twitter today: Stay away from our Extra Value Meals!
The fast-food giant set this tweet to @MikeBloomberg on twitter today saying, “We trust our customers to make the choices that are best for them,” in response to Bloomberg’s crusade to ban the sale of large sodas are restaurants, movie-theaters, ballparks and other private venues.
At the time of this blog post, Bloomberg has not yet responded to McDonalds’ tweet. He was probably taking a break from the twitter to enjoy a donut as part of his administration’s celebration of “National Donut Day” today.
Update: Coca-Cola has also joined the attack on Bloomberg via twitter.
