Universities continue as a liberal breeding ground all the way up until graduation day.
Young America’s Foundation conducted its annual survey of college commencements and found that liberal graduation speakers outnumber conservative speakers six-to-one.
The numbers were even more damning for the elite universities.
Among the top 50 universities, the disparities of liberals and conservatives grew to nine-to-one. No conservatives were invited to give the commencement address at the top ten universities in 2015, though nine liberals were set to speak.
YAF reports that this has been a trend for years.
“In 2014, the ratio was five-to-one; in 2013, four-to-one; in 2012, seven-to-one,” the report stated.
YAF conducted their survey by checking commencement agendas at all of U.S. News & World Report’s 100 highest-ranked universities and determined speaker ideology based on FEC records, public statements, endorsements and service in office.
While no conservatives currently serving in public office were invited to speak at college graduations, former President George W. Bush was able to crack the list.
On the opposite side of the political spectrum, six current liberal officeholders received invitations including Vice President Joe Biden, Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA), Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO), Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and President Barack Obama.
Other high-profile liberals who are giving or have given a college commencement address this year include First Lady Michelle Obama, Stephen Colbert, Arianna Huffington, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Powers, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro, Chris Matthews, Jill Biden, and Alan Alda.
Nine appointees from President Barack Obama’s administration also made the list in 2015. Compare that to 14 appointees during the entirety of Bush’s presidency.
