George Clooney sucks up to Hillary, promises to do ‘whatever she wants’

Who knew Hollywood could be as hypocritical as Hillary?

In an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos, staunch liberal and Obama supporter George Clooney promised to do “whatever” Hillary Clinton’s heart should desire in order to help her presidential campaign.

“Sure, whatever she wants,” Clooney told the “America” host unenthusiastically when asked if he would aid Clinton, as other Hollywood stars will likely do. “Whatever way I can help. I think that she’s a tremendous candidate.”

“I know her and I think the world of her and I think that I would be very happy if she were president,” he added.

Unfortunately for the actor, his words characterizing Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign — Clooney labeled Hillary “the most polarizing figure in American politics” in 2006 — still haunt him.

Ramos, of course, brought up the actor’s previous comment, forcing Clooney into a non-explanation.

“She was a polarizing figure in American politics because, at the time, I felt that there were as many people that would show up to vote against her because she was Hillary and for whatever reasons they’d been designing that for quite sometime,” Clooney attempted to explain, stammering.

He brought up Benghazi, alleging that Hillary critics have attempted to falsely fashion the terror attack as “this great scandal” solely to harm Clinton.

Benghazi, of course, happened in 2012, after Clooney defined Clinton as “polarizing,” meaning that his characterization of her still stands. Nevertheless, he pressed on.

“I find that she is now — I think she is ready to be president,” Clooney said. “I think she could have been a wonderful president before.”

No matter his excitement about Clinton, Clooney likely doesn’t feel about Hillary the way that he did Obama. The actor helped raise almost $15 million for the president during the 2012 campaign and has characterized Obama as his “longtime friend.”
