It didn’t take long for Marco Rubio to emerge as the candidate who will be the biggest beneficiary from Scott Walker dropping out of the race. On Monday, the same day Walker dropped out, the Rubio campaign was already capitalizing.

National Review Online reported that Rubio’s campaign manager, Terry Sullivan, confirmed that that same day they already had the endorsement of Walker’s New Hampshire state co-chair, Cliff Hurst.

Business Insider also pointed out that several feel Rubio will be one of those who benefit. This includes Greg Valliere, a political strategist at the Potomac Group, Erick Erickson of RedState, and a Republican strategist.

And USA Today reported that Walker supporters from South Carolina and Iowa are now backing Rubio.

Rubio may also be successful and appealing on his own. A CNN/ORC poll released Sunday showed Rubio in fourth place, with 11 percent. This places Rubio first among those candidates who have held office before. Voters also ranked his CNN GOP debate performance second, behind Carly Fiorina.

A poll from Rubio’s state of Florida also brings good news. While Donald Trump places first in a poll from Florida Atlantic University, Rubio finishes second, ahead of fellow Floridian Jeb Bush.
