You won’t believe who’s starring in the new ‘Atlas Shrugged’ movie

What do former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul, media personality Glenn Beck, television host Sean Hannity and political advocate Grover Norquist all have in common with George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio? They might not share the same political ideologies, but they all star in movies.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, all four conservatives will appear in the third installment of the “Atlas Shrugged” film series based on the last third of Ayn Rand’s 1957 novel.

“‘Atlas Shrugged’ is a fantastic book, but it’s much more than a story — it’s a philosophy,” Ron Paul explained. “It’s influenced millions of people already and because of its greatness it’s going to continue to influence a lot of people.”

“I love Atlas Shrugged — Fountainhead I love more — but who could say no?” gushed Glenn Beck of his decision to join the cast.

The film, entitled “Atlas Shrugged: Who is John Galt?,” will spotlight a U.S. economic collapse that stems from too much taxing and regulation.

Producer Harmon Kaslow wanted to include right-leaning personalities in the film because of the book’s conservative and libertarian themes, regardless of whether or not his “actors” actually had acting experience (all four individuals have had little or none of the sort). The movie will also feature performances from radio host Andrew Wilkow, hedge fund manager Jonathan Hoenig and CEO of the Tea Party group FreedomWorks Matt Kibbe, along with other conservatives.

The film is slated for release on September 12 of this year, conveniently just before the midterm elections.
