Rep. Trey Radel wins the Internet by reviewing SkyMall catalog during impromptu #treyonplane Twitter townhall

What do you do when you’re bored on a flight? Rep. Trey Radel (R-Fla.) decided to review the SkyMall catalog — and the results are hilarious.

Radel began his trip by holding an impromptu Twitter townhall, with the hashtag #treyonplane. The Florida Republican closed out his townhall by saying he was going to get food and a beer, but it wasn’t too long before he was back — and things got even better.

Radel whipped out the SkyMall catalog and began supplying his choice commentary on the items listed inside.

Radel’s antics even got him an endorsement from the catalog’s Twitter account.

During his townhall, the Congressman told participants to ask questions about anything — “Seriously. Anything.” — but said they weren’t allowed to ask about politics or policy. The resulting Q&A session was brilliant.

Radel answered a wide range of questions, including his favorite Nicholas Cage movie — National Treasure — and whether he’d rather have dinner with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) or Rep. Corrine Brown (D-Fla.) — dinner with Brown and drinks with Pelosi. He also lashed out at trolls on Twitter, saying they have the “IQ of a grilled cheese & manners of a belligerent drunk.”

Radel even offered to help a college student get an internship in his office! Whaddaguy.

The Congressman, a well-known lover of rap, took to Twitter earlier this summer to review Jay-Z’s latest album, “Magna Carta… Holy Grail.” And he’s not much of a fan of Nickelback — or Obamacare — as a Vine posted to his Twitter account revealed.

Better watch out, Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.)! Radel is looking to be the “most accessible member” of Congress.
