It’s no secret that Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning is a Republican. Breitbart reported he came out in support of Jeb Bush, to the tune of $2,700. The campaign’s latest filings show that Manning donated the maximum amount for an individual.
John S. Roberts, writing for the Young Cons, is not too happy with who Peyton is supporting.
He noted that Peyton is “statistically one of the greatest professional football players of all-time,” and probably “walks around with $2,700 in his pocket as if it’s no big deal.”
Roberts said Peyton might as well donate to Sen. Lindsey Graham “if he wanted to just throw his money away.”
Peyton’s brother, Giants Quarterback Eli, also supported Jeb Bush with the same donation amount over the summer. Their father has donated to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Peyton also donated $10,000 to Mitt Romney’s campaign in 2012.
