Actress Kristin Chenoweth sang an updated version of the “Wicked” song “Popular,” with the new lyrics referencing Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin.
The petite Broadway star belted out the parody on Tuesday night’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
Here’s a sampling of the lyrics:
“You will be popular,
the right kind of popular.
I’ll teach you to zip your fly,
you won’t be that guy,
with a camera down his pants.
I’ll teach you what tweets to tweet,
something clean and sweet.
We’ll make sure you get your chance to be popular.”
On Abedin, Chenoweth said she hoped she had a “sense of huma.”
“She should take a page from Hillary and become independent of her hubby, while you scored a chat room chubby, with all her brains and knowledge she should be free to be popular,” Chenoweth crooned.
As for the overall election, Chenoweth’s tune gave this advice: “If you want to be mayor, stop acting like a big ol’ whore.”
