Marco Rubio gives Hillary Clinton an F grade as Secretary of State

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) thinks Hillary Clinton was a terrible Secretary of State, giving the former First Lady an F grade for her time serving in the Obama administration.

The Florida Senator sat down with ABC’s Jonathan Karl while in New Hampshire this week. The interview aired on Sunday and revealed Rubio’s disdain for Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State. Karl asked Rubio to give her a grade, and the Floridian didn’t hold back.

“So what grade do you give her as Secretary of State?” the ABC reporter asked.

“I don’t think she has a passing grade,” Rubio told Karl.

“You think she has an F?” Karl clarified, seeming surprised.

“Yeah, because if you look at the diplomacy that was pursued in her time in the State Department, it has failed everywhere in the world,” the Senator responded.

Rubio said Clinton would have to be held accountable for the failed reset with Russia and the lives lost during the Benghazi attack in 2012.

If Rubio decides to run for president in 2016 — something he has openly said he’s considering — it’s highly likely that Clinton would be his opposition on the other side of the aisle. While speaking with Karl, Rubio said he believes he’s ready for the presidency.

“But I think that’s true for multiple other people who would want to run,” Rubio added, saying the GOP is “blessed” to have several people who are ready for the highest position in the nation.

And if the 2016 election turns into a Clinton-Rubio faceoff, the Floridan has made it clear that the former First Lady will get hit hard for her record.
